42 major scale diagram
Ok so here’s my problem. I’m reading scale diagrams for guitar and I can play them no problem but I always hear that you need to start at the root note and end at the root note. Now let’s take the c major scale diagram for guitar. The black dot for the root note is not until the fifth string but there are notes on the scale diagram for the low e string. This is where I’m confused if you need to play and end at the root what’s the point of the other notes on the low E?
